Psychiatric Assessment
Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for diagnosis, medication management, and personalised treatment planning.
A psychiatric assessment is a structured evaluation carried out by one of our board-certified psychiatrists to understand your mental health history, current symptoms, and overall functioning. The goal is to arrive at an accurate diagnosis and develop a personalised treatment plan.
Our assessments are thorough, compassionate, and take place over one or two sessions depending on complexity. We use validated clinical tools alongside a detailed clinical interview.
What the Assessment Covers
- Current presenting symptoms and their impact on daily life
- Detailed psychiatric and medical history
- Family mental health history
- Psychosocial history (relationships, work, trauma)
- Validated diagnostic questionnaires (PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5, etc.)
- Risk assessment where appropriate
What You Receive
- A written diagnostic report (provided within 5 business days)
- A personalised treatment plan (therapy, medication, or both)
- Referral letters for other specialists if required
- Follow-up medication management if prescribed
When to Request an Assessment
Consider a psychiatric assessment if you have been experiencing symptoms that may indicate ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia-spectrum conditions, complex PTSD, or if previous treatments have not been effective.
